Well, it was a Sunday. This morning I got some more work done on my dissertation and started considering my hectic schedule for this week. Who-hoo! The good part is, I love what I am doing. I have the best job in the world. Writing and drawing for kids is amazing. Teaching part time is a bonus. It was a good day to reflect on just how much I love books. By the way, a friend of mine has one of those new Kindles from Amazon. As much as I hate to admit it, they are pretty cool. However, my inner bibliophile must protest. I love how books feel. I love holding them in my hand. I enjoy turning the pages... I know it is the future, but ugh. There are a lot of economic and educational advantages to them! What are the downsides? Editing text without the readers knowledge... yipes! What do you think? E-books on E-pads? Bye-bye books?!?

I very much like the idea of taking several newspapers & a few hundred books with me wherever I go - It would be so convenient for all of the "downtime" spent waiting on others. Plus, then I could follow my mood & pick something to read that matches it, rather than reading what is with me at the moment. However, I also love the feel of books (& magazines), the colors on the covers, all of that sensory stuff. That's a hard thing to let go of.
