In an effort to move my blog beyond the random musings that are my brain and life, I have decided to keep track of my efforts of creating books as a professional author/illustrator. Beyond my family, art and books are what I love more than anything in the world. Though I am in the middle of creating three picture books, plus a middle-grade series, I am still a new professional author/illustrator by any standard. I am not sure how much I can offer beyond many of the great information that already exists on the subject, but I'll try.

Many of my friends and colleagues have worked their entire adult lives to train and educate people how to create books for children. So, by those standards, I am rightly humbled.

Nonetheless, I will try to offer thoughts on what I have been experiencing while creating books from my own point of view. Because it is my point of view, information comes from my own experience and research. It may be right or wrong for you personally.
